If you are like me, slow in typing Arabic on your keyboard then don’t worry cuz Google launched service called Ta3reeb. The service will help you to type Arabic quick by typing the franco-arab (English Arabic) and the Google Ta3reeb will transform it to pure Arabic. like :
You type : hi ezayak, 3amel eh ?
Ta3reeb : will turn it to : هاى أزيك , عامل ايه ؟
Sounds good ? yes its good, BUT i don’t know if you have heard about software called Microsoft Maren . it works the same way as Google Ta3reeb but let me tell you the difference.
Google Ta3reeb :
-
You can use it just by going to http://www.google.com/ta3reeb
-
You can use it in your website by adding Java code to your comment box or wherever you want.
-
You can integrate it with your Google search so your website visitors can be able to search franco-arabic (and the search box will turn it to Arabic)
MS- Maren :
-
You can download it from HERE and install it and use it anywhere ( web, messenger, typing in MS-Word)
-
You can also use it on the web by the firefox plugin.
Now from my point of view, i think that MS-Maren is good experience for end-users only, as it almost will work with them everywhere on their computer, while with Google will be little bit hard for the too much copy ‘n’ paste. Ta3reeb will be good for website owners cuz it will let them offer nice experience for commenting and using the search box. Try both and tell us what do you think
